Congratulations Kirsten & Nathan!

Kirsten & Nathan were married on May 10th at the Briarhurst Manor! All the flowering trees were in bloom and it was beautiful! It was also a typical Colorado spring day. Charles & Cynthia's 1st Baptist Church Wedding!

We photographed Charles & Cynthia's wedding on March 15th at the First Baptist Church downtown. This is one of Colorado Springs most beautiful churches! We first met Cynthia when she was the maid of honor at one of our bride's, Alison's, wedding last June. Now Alison got to be Cythia's Matron of honor! It was chilly outside but, our couple wanted some pretty spring outdoor shots. We had a great reception at the Air Force Academy Officer's Club where John Warren from Complete Music got the party started! You may see all of Charles and Cythia's photos here. Enjoy!

Julie & Marc were married this past Friday at Holy Apostles Catholic Church with a reception at The Marriott Hotel. It was a sunny spring day! We were so excited to see Kara & Shane again! We photographed their wedding and when Kara contacted us and told us they were pregnant, we were just thrilled! They are such a beautiful couple inside and out and I'm sure they are going to be awesome parents! Congratulations guys! We can't wait to meet the baby!

Megadeth's Gigantour!

Concert Photography

We were privileged enough to photograph a concert in Denver which include 4 great bands. Nile, Unexpect, Suicide Silence, and Warbringer. We were there primarily to shoot the guitarists from Nile because they play Dean guitars and we were trying to get some good live shots of them for the Dean webpage. Concert photography is such a blast. It is photojournalism at its finest and that is what I thrive in!

Ryan was lucky enough to go to Florida for the Dean Owners of America Convention. He met and photographed the owner and the founder of Dean Guitars. He was also able to do some live concert photography of Vinnie Moore, Michael Angelo Batio, Bill Peck and some other well known artists. Needless to say, he was like a kid and a candy store! Oh, and he couldn't leave without a new guitar for himself! Hopefully, next year I can join in the fun...

We hosted a party with the other members of the Independent Photographers Network of Colorado and the Briarhurst Manor a couple of weeks ago. We have been informed by the Briarhurst that our Graphistudio sample album we have on display there has been missing since the party. We know alot of our fellow vendors read our blog and were also at the party. So if you saw it that night and can let us or the Briarhurst know where you saw it, we would very much appreciate it. They have looked everywhere for it.

Corinne & Bill were married last September at St. Mary's Cathedral with a reception at The Antler's Hilton. They decided to see each other before the ceremony in a beautiful flower garden. Well, we have started a new website: RocknRollPhotography.com ! We originally were going to add a music catagory to blackforestphoto.com but, decided why not build a whole new website dedicated just too music! Ryan and I love music and go to concerts a lot. We are hoping to do more interviews, CD covers, live performance photography, and musician portraits. But we still love our weddings! Check out the new site! Brittany & Eric's Air Force Academy Chapel and Inn at Palmer Divide Wedding

Brittany & Eric were married December 11, 2007 at the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel. We started photos at Arnold Hall and took the brisk walk over to the chapel! The chapel is always decorated so pretty in December! It was a beautiful ceremony and Eric surprised everyone by sweeping Brittany off her feet after saying "I do!" We then headed over to The Inn at Palmer Divide. They have some beautiful views, paintings, and a water wall that we took complete photographic advantage of! Congrats you guys! We received a beautiful email from Tabitha who is serving in Iraq. We photographed Tabitha and Francisco's wedding in November. They had two weeks leave and both were back to war. Thank goodness for internet! They have been able to view their photos online for now until they return. Here is Tabitha's email:

I have finally had an opportunity to sit down and look through our wedding photos, and WOW! You did an absolutely wonderful and amazing job. I am so pleased and so grateful for all the work you put into making our day absolutely perfect. What I love the most was how you made so many of our photos candid, relaxed, us being us. You captured US! One of the compliments I received was that you caught all the real emotion on camera and none of it looked posed, all the photos were natural.
